For the DIY yachting enthusiast, we can provide a kit of parts to provide a fixed stay solution for the attachment of Storm jibs or
provision of an emergency stay.

Our kits are available for wire sizes up to 8mm and come with a pre swaged Gibb T Terminal at one end along with all of the parts necessary to complete a professional installation to your mast. At the lower end we provide a Stalok eye which will attach into your chosen adjuster. The stay, with adjuster included, should be made to the stowage length which should be at a position away from the mast and spreaders. A good location is near to the forward lower chain plate.
A location for the connection of the stay will also be necessary on the foredeck and you should ensure that this is adequate for the loads that may be experienced. We stock a wide range of U Bolts and Deck plates, please call for more information.

To make up the difference in distance between the stowage and working length, we provide a lower strop kit with Swaged toggle fork and Stalok eye to allow you to make the correct length strop.

Your Emergency Inner forestay should be connected approx 300mm below the masthead.
If your preferred location is mid way between spreaders and the top of the mast it will be necessary to provide running backstays to support the mast.

If you have a spare genoa halyard, this can be used to hoist the Storm jib. It should be led through a set of Bulls eye leads which are available from stock.

At the lower end of the stay there are a variety of options that can be used.
For fast deployment we recommend the use of the Seasure lever. This unit is available in 2 sizes to accommodate wire sizes from 5 to 8mm.

For wire sizes above these single arm, wheel or ratchet adjusters are available.
